The fourth week of LEC was a big upset for some top tiers of the region.

While the top 4 is clear between Origen/G2 Esports/Fnatic/Rogue, the bottom tier teams standings are unclear.

Origen vs Mad Lions

Gankplank / Karthus / Ornn / Aphelios / Leona vs Cho’gath / Rek’sai / Le’Blanc / Ezreal/ Yuumi

Origen is looking to establish them as a first-place team in the current season. After replacing their ADC and jungler, they look much better and the gameplay is showing that. Their draft was really good, was much better compared to Mad Lions and had a clear win condition. While Mad Lions had to farm and scale into later stages of the game, Origen picked up an even better scaling comp and stomped MAD Lions for a clean win.

Excel vs SK Gaming

Aatrox / Sejuani / Zoe / Ezreal / Yuumi vs Sett / Karthus / Kassadin / Miss Fortune / Leona

Youngbuck is doing great work on the rookie Excel squad, they are slowly growing up in ranks in hoping of being the best middle-of-the-pack team looking to contest a top spot from the other LEC teams. The draft was really good from Excel, alongside their gameplay, they picked up both Rift Heralds, got to their power spikes and slowly took objective after objective. SK Gaming while they had a slight hope to win some fights, was unable to succeed and ultimately lost to Excel.

Vitality vs Fnatic

Sett / Rek’sai / Zoe / Kai’sa / Nautilus vs Singed / Lee sin / Cassiopeia / Miss Fortune / Rakan

Fnatic is looking great game after game, they look much more coordinated compared to the first games of the season and their gameplay shows that as well. They started bringing out some unorthodox picks as well to rival the G2 Esports draft.

While Vitality has not picked up a single win yet, they looked great against a top tier LEC team, if they can improve some issues they can grab some wins.

G2 Esports vs Misfits Gaming

Sona / Gragas / Yasuo / Aphelios / Braum vs Sett / Ekko / Azir / Xayah / Rakan

G2 Esports picked up their first loss of the season. They have picked up Sona top as said in the previous days on twitter by Wunder, but were unable to pick up a win just like their Soraka pick. Misfits Gaming played really well and Ekko took control of the early game, allowing them to snowball.  While their winning streak is finally over, they still look really strong so it shouldn’t be an issue going forward.
