The last Community Day for Pokemon Go has only recently passed but talk about February’s event. Niantic has released a poll, and this time, players will be given a chance to decide what the featured Pokemon will be. This is the first time that fans have gotten to choose the featured Pokemon, and so far, there is a strong campaign for many of the candidates on Twitter.
All of this is being done in hopes of making Community Day more about the game’s community. Niantic wants to open up the chance for players to make decisions, and offering four candidates is a great way to do it. Each of the four will have a different event move if selected for the Community Day, making it an important choice.
If the #PokemonGOCommunityDay voting day was today, which Pokémon would you vote for?

The four Pokemon that have a chance to make an appearance are Vulpix, Machop, Ryhorn, and Dratini. If Vulpix is picked, the Pokemon will appear with the Weather Ball move exclusive to this event. Machop will make an appearance with Payback, and Rhyhorn will have Rock Wrecker. If Dratini wins the vote, it will make an appearance with the move Superpower.
Voting will start on February 1 from 12 A.M. to 11:59 P.M. local time. Players will have to do much more than simply cast an online ballot. To vote, you must complete a special Field Research task that can be found at PokeStops throughout the voting period. Each of these Field Research tasks will feature four missions, each representing one of the candidates. Votes will be tallied based on the completion of these missions.
After the end of the vote, Niantic will announce the Pokemon that won on Monday, February 3. Community Day is scheduled later in the month on Saturday, February 22. The event will take place at different times, depending on the hemisphere you live in.
Players in the Northern Hemisphere will find the event running from 11 A.M. to 2 P.M. local time. If you live in the Southern Hemisphere, the event will be from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. local time.
There is another bonus being added to February’s Community Day in addition to the increased Pokemon spawn rate. There will be triple the usual amount of Stardust for each Pokemon you catch. There is tons of more information about the voting process and the event on the official Pokemon Go website.
The annual Lunar New Year event is still underway, and until February 3, certain red-colored Pokemon will be appearing more frequently in the wild. The Legendary Pokemon Heatran is also still available but will be leaving on February 4.
