2K recently sent out an update for their annual basketball game, which is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The patch, which is 2K20’s tenth since being released last fall, will bring a few minor and major changes to this year’s NBA game, the most notable of which removes the behind the back dribble move spam, which has been a nuisance for players for quite a while now.

Below is the full list of changes that have come to NBA 2K20 via its tenth patch.

  • The following players have gotten hairstyle updates to reflect their current look: D’Angelo Russell, Austin Rivers, Nerlens Noel, Robert Covington, Jrue Holiday, Kelly Oubre Jr., Myles Turner, Marquese Chriss, Devonte Graham, Jordan Poole, Cody Martin, Terance Mann, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.
  • The duo overlay for MyTeam will now properly show badge upgrades.
  • Button latency has been reduced when playing Pro-Am games, resulting in a more familiar user experience.
  • Addressed a concern where players could walk onto the court during specific games in the Neighborhood.
  • Behind the back spamming has been removed.

Also via a recent patch, the following players’ overall ratings have been modified to reflect their real-life skill level.

  • Paul George -2 (now 91 overall)
  • Hassan Whiteside +2 (now 87 overall)
  • Steven Adams +2 (now 85 overall)
  • Al Horford -3 (now 84 overall)
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander +2 (now 83 overall)
  • Blake Griffin -2 (now 82 overall)
  • Marcus Morris Sr. +2 (now 82 overall)
  • Terry Rozier III +2 (now 81 overall)
  • Marcus Smart -2 (now 80 overall)
  • Draymond Green -2 (now 80 overall)
  • Derrick Favors +2 (now 80 overall)

Of course, 2K updated more players, but the above updates are the most significant ones in the latest patch.

On Sunday, the NBA world learned the unfortunate news that former Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant, 41, along with his daughter Gianna, were among nine who were killed in a helicopter crash. Naturally, the NBA 2K developers expressed their condolences via Twitter.

Bryant was the cover athlete for 2K’s annual NBA game twice, as he appeared once during his active career for NBA 2K10, and again for 2K17’s Legend Edition following his retirement. Following the news of his untimely death, 2K will likely do something related to Bryant in their next update. But, as of this writing, nothing has been announced.

Even though he already appeared on the cover of 2K17’s Legend Edition, don’t be surprised if he graces the cover of it once again for NBA 2K21, as the developers will likely want to pay tribute to the ex-Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard.
