This new update shows an upgraded look at the progress of every aspect of this (TES) Renewal Project. Based on the modders, many sections are reaching its complete phase, even though they still need some help from artists, voice actors, and testers. Upon that, ‘the close is near, and in view,’ which makes everyone hopeful, they can play the game within the same year or so.

Moreover, there have been marketing campaigns between the Call of the East trailer and Writ for Sarayn Sadus’ gameplay demo, which was demonstrated at Gamescom 2019.

So for starters let’s quickly run through what is needed to play Skywind, based on the official FAQ on their website.

The video showcases new landscapes and environments; it also shows the details of the design that was used in the game. The video also shows the remarkable work of the team with impressive equipment and tools shown off at every stage. This work shows how the modern era has come so far in game design. Both amateurs and professionals have access to almost similar tools. With this development it’s of a guarantee that Skywind would come out with a lot of pleasing game visuals.

What is needed to play Skywind?
Currently, Skywind is being built to be compatible with PC. Several reasons cause the inability to port to consoles. These reasons consist of the size limitations, (IP) intellectual property barriers, inability to use the Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE).
So, the following will need to be installed on the host system:
• TES III: Morrowind, with the Bloodmoon and Tribunal expansions or the game of the Year edition
• TES V: the Skyrim: Special Edition

Both copies will be needed for both games, so, in essence, those that outsmart the system or bypass the copy protection somehow, the pirated copy would not work correctly with Skywind, and problems would prop up.

All authentic installations of Morrowind and Skywind should work (even with a disc, Steam, GOG).

Skywind makes use of the graphical capabilities of the Creation Engine while still having its separate unique weathers, user interface, and other modification that could be demanding for the game. The recommended system spec for the mod is kind of higher than that of Skyrim: Special Edition.

Also, for professionals interested in helping out, the Skywind team is seeking for few things currently. They need to be experienced QA members, game concept artists, and industry-standard design artists. On the other hand, those not so technical savvy also are invited to participate in the project by doing the little task by simple audio editing on voice lines. Those interested can find out more on the official website of The Elder Scrolls Renewal: Skywind.
