The content release is scheduled so early in order not to allow players to burn-out from current content.

At 3:00 p.m. PST (6:00 p.m. EST) on Wednesday, February 12, Blizzard Entertainment will unlock the following WoW Classic content simultaneously on all realms:

1) Blackwing Lair“In the dark recesses of the mountain’s peak, Nefarian, the eldest son of Deathwing, conducts some of his most awful experimentation, controlling mighty beings like puppets and combining the eggs of different dragonflights with horrific results. Should he prove successful, even darker pursuits rest on the horizon. And, yet, the Lord of Blackrock is not a mere scientist – he is a great dragon cornered in his lair. Can he truly be defeated by mortal hands?”, the attunement quest is live and can be completed starting today.

2) Level 50 Class Quests – all players, once reached level 50, can travel to the capital cities to receive a specific quest based on their class. The reward for completing the quest is one of three potent, rare items.

3) New Reputation Rewards – the Argent Dawn, Thorium Brotherhood, Timbermaw Hold, Silverwing Sentinels, and Warsong Outriders faction vendors now offer reputation reward items that were added in patches 1.6 and 1.7 of original WoW.

4)  Eternal Quintessence – Players who complete “Hands of the Enemy” and reach Revered reputation with Hydraxian Waterlords may now obtain Eternal Quintessence from Duke Hydraxis.

5) Darkmoon Faire“A gathering of the exotic from around the world and beyond, Silas Darkmoon has brought together the Darkmoon Faire as a celebration of the wondrous and mysterious found in Azeroth. While the Faire spends most of their time in parts unknown, they do stop from time to time in Mulgore and Elwynn Forest. When the faire is on its way barkers will stop by Orgrimmar and Ironforge to announce its arrival.” – The Darkmoon Faire will arrive on Friday, February 7 with the festivities opening on Monday, February 10.

While some WoW Classic players are taking their time with leveling and have not reached level 60 yet, others are hungry for more content. Multiple raids were formed on various servers to make the Blackwing Lair attunement quest-drop mob hostage. Some even took him to other zones and kept him hidden from others.

Warriors will be pleased due to the Diamond Flask, which will give them 75 strength for 1 minute, some will even go bankrupt from acquiring them. Other classes will be pleased to receive BiS items from the class quests.

While some are racing to be first, not everyone needs to do it. WoW, Classic is game best enjoyed at your own pace, do not rush through content or you will burn out quickly. Unless you are a streamer who needs to entertain thousands of viewers, feel free to do whatever you wish in the game, do not rush through leveling as leveling is a big part of the game as well, alongside all the primary and sidequests to be completed.
