The game that everyone is looking forward to has to be Cyberpunk 2077. Very rarely do games generate as much hype as this upcoming RPG from the people at CD Projekt Red. They have done a phenomenal job at giving this game a unique visual appearance and providing players with so many directions as far as their character progression and story.
We already know this game is set to hit the market on April 16, 2020. It was originally reported to releasing on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Well, that just changed thanks to a recent announcement from Google. During their Google Stadia Connect conference, they confirmed that this major AAA title is coming to Google Stadia. Talk about an incredible addition to this streaming platform.

Many have raved about how the future of gaming lies in stream. It’s not real clear whether this has validity or not, but time will tell. The whole idea behind game streaming is added convenience. Instead of having to shell out hundreds for the latest and greatest console, all you would have to do is invest in a controller, some sort of mobile device, and good internet. Then, you’ll be able to stream your games within seconds. Say goodbye to download wait times.
Now, this is all well in good in theory, but we still have to see how gamers take to Google Stadia. Can long-time console owners switch over to this new streaming design? Google is hoping they will and are doing everything they can to attract them to this platform.
Cyberpunk 2077 is a huge game Google just scored, and thus far, they have a pretty impressive library of games under their platform. These include Doom: Eternal, Metro Exodus, Borderlands 3, Darksiders Genesis, and Watch Dogs: Legion. That’s an incredible lineup that could very well make the Stadia a success out of the gate.
We’re shortly approaching the next generation of consoles from Sony and Microsoft. By all accounts, these consoles are set to revolutionize gaming in terms of the visuals and power they provide. The Switch also is still selling exceptionally well, with new models on the way. If there’s any system that could compete with these industry giants, it’s the Google Stadia.
Google seems focused on giving gamers the best titles available, which should score well with gamers across all platforms. For now, we’ll just have to wait and see if the Stadia has what it takes to compete in this space for the foreseeable future. Things are looking bright, though.
