The Black Ops 6 x Warzone Season 5 is set to launch on August 7, says Activision. If you thought the crow would sing congratulations on this announcement, bboybboy, the story is a quite different one. The said tweet of CharlieINTEL got bombarded with the complain, the meme, and plain frustration from the Call of Duty community.

Starting with the date. As August 7 marks the commencement of QuakeCon, Logan_Untold mused, “Hmmm, coincidence?” Now, this has had people twirling their mustaches with one eye raised in an eyebrow, with the glare that screamed, “Really? You’re gonna make me choose?” Though let’s be honest here, the vast majority of COD heads ain’t got QuakeCon on their calendar.

And now for the drama. These replies are as if the greatest hits of Warzone complaints. “Full of cheaters!” complains Sledge. “This already looks half-assed,” proclaims CapnYappin. Undead Bill Clinton (yes, that’s their @ name) went right back with a “Put this piece of shit ‘game’ out of its misery.” DAAAAAAAMN.

Rebirth Island fatigue is real. Multiple players like UncleDot24 and ScrewaUserName referred to the “another season of rebirth” like an overused rerun. Streaks____ summed it up nicely: “Hell yea man same map with no gameplay changes or nothing it’s lit 😛😛” That sarcasm cuts deep.

There are hopeful players, though. AZ_MAN_101 pleaded for “3 good 6v6 maps” and a new sniper, with sadisticmfkr clamoring for the MP40 to return, trailing heart-crying emojis, as if for a lost lover.

The real juice? The Battlefield vs COD heated up HARD in the replies. Nstynick said, “Just give us battlefield updates. Nobody seriously playing warzone anymore,” fueling a full-on debate over which franchise is more cooked.

The complaints keep on coming: cheaters, no innovation, same maps. Fans of the zombies are getting dragged too, with Nstynick sarcastically interrogating DavidWi00355713, “What you’re excited?” as if it were a personal attack.

The most chaotic reply is from ZaeiZae screaming: “BLAME TRUTH CODFATHER WAS RIGHT ALL ALONG‼️🗣️💯” at hype energy unprepared for at 9 in the morning.

Now, if Season 5 doesn’t come with some serious changes, Treyarch and Activision are going to have very little hope for a recovery. Something new in the form of maps, some real anti-cheat, and gameplay. Anything but recycled content.

But will August 7 be the date for change or just more of the same? Time’s running out, and the players are all bated breath. What is definitely known are those COD players are undefeated when it comes to roasting their own game.

Anyway, maybe they’ll surprise us. Maybe we will be gifted with Shrek skins for Dalorrian. Or is this just another season of rebirth with a few additional steps? Either way, August 7 is shaping up to be an interesting date.
