Those “extra goodies” through the underbelly of the League of Legends store just saw GenG swooping away the crown at MSI 2025. Players can buy exclusive MSI bundles and maybe that messianic “Foxy Chovy” emote, for nothing screams victory more than converting a mid-laner into a meme-worthy fox. This was announced on Twitter, and the replies? Chaotic as always with the League community.
Starting with the Foxy Chovy emote: people are flipping out; some call it cursed, and others are calling for more GenG emotes (Jerambe, we’re looking right at you begging for GenRang Dab to make a comeback). Then, you have your CamposDawalles with a literal “la zorra de Chovy” (that’s “Chovy’s fox” for any English speaker). Vibes: flawless. Reactions: rabid. Classic League Twitter.
Not a few people are going against the grain, TomasBean uttered a classic “who cares,” only for DucNguyen to slap him with the title of “average wheelchair esport fan.” Damage done. Meanwhile, princessbabyfer comes with the hottest take ever: “still can’t believe chovy won an international before faker did lmao this timeline is actually cursed.” That hits hard for the Faker stans.
Then you have the real ones like lisandro_gutz45, who just wants the icon and shouts, “Necesito el icono 🗣️” (translation: I need that icon 🗣️). Same energy. And that kind of commitment just can’t compare to the hype for the “ThemG” emote of Asunaeuw.
Here’s the real question: Why can’t we even type their names in the Client? FrequentBlue called out Riot on this one, and, honestly? I back him all the way. If we are gonna celebrate GenG, let us all scream their names in caps on all fronts. Can’t ask much from them, can we?
These bundles, with all the exclusive skins and icons, will probably make a small country out of Blue Essence. Playing the merch game to the fullest with GenG taking away the crown of MSI is only fair.
In any case, for any and every GenG fan out there (also, Chovy stan), this is your time to represent. So get out there in the store and buy that Foxy Chovy emote; just maybe think about Faker for two seconds. Maybe not. It’s been endless strength of the community in and out of the fight.
On that note, for those that want to know: No, Riot hasn’t confirmed whether GenRang Dab will be making a comeback anytime soon. But hey, a player can dream.
