Meanwhile, a bitter war breaks out among the players over which rank can be dignified as the most arduous to escape from. Basically, it is a window of smurf players and unfortunate teammates that hold the struggle. But what is the really worst league?

The most common answer holds the side of Gold as the league “shadowed by smurfs, trolls, and hardstuck players who refuse to even adapt.” An Immortal goes: “Gold-Plat lobbies sometimes have me shaking from the unpredictable mix of cracked aim and zero game sense.”

Yet Silver is not free either. Some say it’s a nightmare zone where about 80% of players are smurfs, boosters, or cheaters, and the way almost does not exist for real Silver-level ones. One player has said that it took him five months to get out of Iron/Bronze and straight him through Silver about a week, which in itself speaks volumes about the dreadful matchmaking.

Since we are on being precise, it would be the skill gap of insane. Some really believe it is the real elo hell since it is endowed with teammates that may either have godly aim with no brain or game sense in the worst case that just can’t hit one shot. One Ascendant even confessed knowing folks who were “deadass better” than him but still in Plat-level.

That brings us to the classic Bronze experiences: Players accusing other players of throwing every single other game. One just joked that Bronze is just “everyone selling,” whereas another just pointed out that smurfs really make it a nightmare for all genuine low-elo grinders.

The most hilarious had to be, “Probably Radiant. I’ve never seen someone promote out of Radiant before.”

At the end of the day, each rank has its own brand of pain. Whether smurfs, cheaters, or just bad luck with teammates, it is never an easy climb in VALORANT. But hey, at least we’re all in misery together.

What really is the solution? The answer depends on whom you ask; what is for sure is if you are stuck in Gold, then you are not alone. And if you are in Silver…good luck, you will need it. Good luck indeed!
