Capcom has really tossed some spicy news at the Monster Hunter Warriors–new Event Quests; so called special weapon for Mizutsune; and, as with armor spheres, everything else that goes with the new special equipment. The Monster Hunter official Twitter account dared to announce the update, thereby creating waves of excitement, with a chorus of cynical classic responses.

So what about those new quests? Basically, the special quests are for Mizutsune, the bubbly Leviathan. So, if you have managed not to get defeated by the soapy bubbles and carted for hours, here is your chance! Then comes the hunting for new special equipment, which probably means more glamour-hunting opportunities (let’s be real here, half of the game is glamour-hunting and dodging giant monster claws). As the very few amongst us beauty and fashion grind their gear to perfection, this would definitely be a big help with those extra armor spheres.

Ooh-ho, antics ensue in the reply section. Some players began dignified pleas for collaborations-“Day 5 of asking for a Hatsune Miku Collaboration”; somewhat jokingly “DMC 5 Virgil and Dante” armor sets; Capcom, if you’re listening… pwease?” Some complain. Hiruma_kun took off one interesting gripe: “I’d love to see the new special equipment, but I probably never will because the textures won’t load.” Oof.

Old but good. BaumE__ spoke out that 60 FPS is oh-so-dogshit for action games, and some argued in its defense, feethater5599 was ranting that anyone owning a normal PC won’t have fun with this slop-anything. Harsh, but gamers are passionate.

Where are all fashion hunters? TootyFrooty420 calls out Capcom for only offering shirtless options to body type 1, while Philipb69185986 argues they should at least make one for the female characters. Priorities, people.

Despite such a chaotic backdrop, a certain truth is on everyone’s lips-the new content certainly got a bunch of people hyped. For the fashion, for the fights, or just for the drama that comes with the replies, the next update is turning out well for Monster Hunter. Get those popcorn bags ready because the quests are dropping soon-if only the Hatsune Miku collaboration would.

Sharp blades, enough potions; now plunge back into the game. The hunt never ends, and neither do the memes.
