Reach: The Lost Fortress is getting the PSVR2 treatment, and the trailer released by PlayStation has been quite the hot topic. The trailer promises intense action, hyper-fast gameplay, and aggressive movements, accompanied by deeply immersive environments-VR players would devour such things.

And they are ready for this. Some are ready for the “Day 1 purchase,” whereas the next is “This looks incredible!” A fiery debate stands about VR tech. Some are already making comparisons with Synapse, which thankfully is one of PSVR2’s main hits.

Of course, some are riding the hype wave while others aren’t. The usual VR discourse is back-people arguing about smooth turning settings (max is apparently good for curing motion sickness?), arguing whether PSVR2 exclusives are better than Quest 3’s. Spoiler: That depends on who you ask.

Then we have pricing issues, with one gamer coming down hard against PlayStation over regional price deviations particularly for Poland, where, when converted, makes games way more expensive than they ought to be. Ouch.

Leaving a gaming announcement without untamed demands is a concept foreign to our community: One cries for Twisted Metal in VR (which, seriously? Would be so much fun), another is still bitter about a PS4 bricking on them, and then there’s the one guy who really just wants YouTube chat Peek-a-boo while streaming PSVR2 games. Fair.

The trailer provided glimpses of sleek parkour-style moves, verticalized combat, and what seems to be full-body presence-an especially welcomed thing by the VR community. Floating hands? No, thank you; we want arms.

That seriously is putting Reach on the map for PSVR2 users. The exact launch date of the game is still under wraps, but this one seems to be pinned on everyone’s radar already, judging by the hype.

In the meantime, if you still haven’t made up your mind for PSVR2, this might be the one willing to knock you off it. Or, at the very least, get you pondering about it. Do check your bank account before that, though.
