For the past three days, Deadpool has been posting under the guise of Marvel’s Midnight Suns on their official Twitter account. The character has been spreading rumors about two heroes who have not yet been revealed, all while advocating for inclusion in the Firaxis game.
An updated version of Venom was one of the characters shown off by the account earlier today; now Morbius has also been shown off! While it has not been officially announced that these two will be playable in the game as of this writing, given how close their designs are to the known heroes, it is a safe bet! In addition to those heroes who have already been disclosed, the website for the game has previously mentioned that there are more who have yet to be made public.
The release of Marvel’s Midnight Suns is coming up in a little over a month, making it a safe bet that players will learn more about the game’s unknown characters very soon. A Livestream for the match is scheduled on the official Twitch channel of Firaxis on October 26 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time (which can be found right here).
It has yet to be revealed whether or not Venom, Morbius, or even Deadpool will make an appearance; however, considering the amount of buzz generated over the past few days, it appears to be a distinct chance that they will do so.
For those who need to be aware of the game, Marvel’s Midnight Suns is a tactical role-playing video game that uses a turn-based system and features several of the Marvel Universe’s most well-known characters. Several characters, such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, Captain Marvel, Nico Minoru, and Magik, have been unmasked up to this point. Satanist Lilith has joined forces with Hydra and Doctor Faustus in the game, and she’s utilizing her possession skills to take over the bodies of Marvel heroes like Sabretooth and Venom.
