Information on the publisher’s intentions has reportedly emerged from a variety of sources, notably Bloomberg and Try Hard Guides. The publisher has been teasering intentions to reveal the fate of Assassin’s Creed at Ubisoft Forward, which is coming on September 10.
Ubisoft reportedly plans to introduce two significant franchise installments as well as a mobile game at the event, in addition to the previously mentioned Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
The two major releases will be included in Assassin’s Creed Infinity, an extensive partnership between Ubisoft’s Quebec Odyssey, Montreal Origins, and Valhalla studios that will purportedly act as a foundation for numerous games with various settings.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is supposedly expected to be released in spring 2023, while Assassin’s Creed Infinity is really not anticipated to debut until 2024 at the latest.
It was first revealed by Bloomberg in February that Ubisoft intended to develop a more compact, stealth-focused Assassin’s Creed game than the more current, RPG-influenced ones.
The title, which features Basim from Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, was initially intended as an upgrade for the latest current installment in the series before being turned into a standalone game last year, it stated.
According to reports, it takes place in Baghdad in the 800s, and Ubisoft’s Bordeaux studio is in charge of its production. Kotaku asserts that the game is an open-world Assassin’s Creed title with the working title of “Project Red.”
According to rumors, a future Assassin’s Creed game may be set in Japan, according to Jeff Grubb of Giant Bomb. While Kotaku was unable to verify this, their insiders stated that in addition to being frequently sought by fans, a Japanese setting has also been explored internally at Ubisoft for a long time.
According to Jason Schreier of Bloomberg, who was responding to Kotaku’s claim, Project Red is a component of Assassin’s Creed Infinity, the framework for additional AC games.
