To celebrate the September 2 release of the first part’s remake, Nick Baker claims that The Last of Us characters will be included in Fortnite. However, the XboxEra host did not specify a certain day.

According to various leakers, it appears as though Epic and Sony are working together to bring Fortnite The Last of Us skins to the battle royale game. These skins could arrive around the September release of The Last of Us Part 1 remake.

Uncharted was the first Naughty Dog video game series to appear in Fortnite this year, but it appears that The Last of Us skins are also on the way, with at least Joel and Ellie being playable.

Shiina, a reputable leaker of Fortnite information, supports Baker’s assertion and affirms that they “also learned about this collaboration independently.”

Unfortunately for everyone involved and fans, Naughty Dog president Neil Druckmann publicly denied the rumor on Twitter, stating the company has “no plans” to make a Fortnite and The Last of Us crossover.

So no, Joel and Ellie won’t be facing Darth Vader anytime soon. However, the evil plant life that is currently visible on the map makes us wonder what they might think.

As stated earlier, PlayStation has collaborated with game creator Epic Games to add a number of other well-known figures to Fortnite.
