Blizzard has been adding a great amount to World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth in the last few weeks in terms of small, simple things to improve the enjoyability of the game. Just recently, they’ve improved the drop chance for some farmable collective items for players that are putting in more hours during the social distancing that has become the new norm.

Recently, we reported on how Blizzard had provided a buff that will go well into April to all characters on World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth. This buff makes it so players receive 100% more experience from all sources, and also stacks with heirloom gear. You can get a new character from 1 to 20 in under an hour, especially if you’re playing something like Warlock or Priest that can put a damage-over-time effect on a high number of enemies at once (yes, I tried!)

But Blizzard isn’t stopping there. They’ve added a few hotfixes over yesterday and today that make small alterations, including some just to give players more items. The following changes over been made.

  • Priestess Alun’za in Atal’Dazar’s Tainted Blood should remain visible when Projected Textures is disabled
  • The ground visual for Call Lightning should remain visible when Projected Textures is disabled, affecting the Spark Channeler in Temple of Sethraliss
  • The Black Chitinous Plate battle pet should drop more frequently from Skikx’traz in Uldum while the Aqir Assault is active
  • The Malevolent Drone epic mount should drop more frequently from Corpse Eater in Uldum while the Aqir Assault is active
  • Ashjra’kamas, Shroud of Resolve can now be raised to Rank 15

Combined with this, Blizzard has also dramatically lowered the amount of experience needed to get up to level 110, making leveling in general much faster. With all of the changes and a full set of heirlooms, you can get to max level in a casual week. If you really put your back into it and you know your leveling strats, you can probably get to max level in a quick weekend.

On top of that, the recent addition of Echoes of Ny’alotha makes it so that once you get to max level, it won’t take as long to start grabbing your Rank 3 Essences and join the rest of the endgame crew. It’s honestly a great time to have an alt if you haven’t made one lately or just felt like jumping into a new character.

Death Knights would be a great choice around now too, if you want to level but don’t feel like starting from scratch. Demon Hunters start so close to max level that you might not really feel how much easier leveling is now, but Death Knights join the fray at 55, giving you plenty of time to feel the difference.
