LCS came back for Week 8 with an online format.

While some teams failed to adapt, most of them adapted to the online environment quite well.

Immortals vs Team Solo Mid

Ornn / Jarvan / Orianna / Ezreal / Rakan vs Gangplank / Sejuani / Diana / Xayah / Nautilus

Immortals popped off in this game. Eika and Apollo on Orianna and Ezreal managed to have a really good laning phase, which allowed Immortals to take down towers quite quickly and then force dragons and rift heralds. TSM fell behind and could not respond to that pressure and lost the game without taking many objectives.

100 Thieves vs FlyQuest

Aatrox / Trundle / Orianna / Aphelios / Nautilus vs Ornn / Rek’Sai / Ahri  / Miss Fortune / Braum

100 Thieves came in round 2 of the Spring Split much better prepared. Meteos has been performing exceptionally well, reminiscent of his time on Cloud 9 in his debut split. While many people doubted PapaSmithy’s acquisition of the Oceanic mid lane, he has been performing really well and is on par with top tier mid laners of LCS. FlyQuest had a fluke game, but overall look quite good as well.

Golden Guardians vs Team Liquid

Renekton / Elise / Syndra / Varus / Tahm Kench vs Gangplank / Gragas / Zoe / Xayah / Rakan

Team Liquid is the worst team in LCS this split. Even though they woke up from their slumber, it’s a bit too late, there are slim chances of them to qualify for playoffs and they’ll be the first team to miss them after winning the Championship. Golden Guardians on the other hand looked different today. They’ve won most recent games in the second round of Spring Split convincingly but this game was not one of them.

Evil Geniuses vs Dignitas

Aatrox / Lee sin / Ryze / Aphelios / Tahm vs Fiora / Gragas / Qiyana / Syndra / Nautilus

Evil Geniuses with their mid lane known as the Italian Stallion has outplayed Dignitas on all fronts. They were prepared for their picks and counter picked every lane. Dignitas fed a bit everywhere and were unable to do anything in this game.

Counter Logic Gaming vs Cloud 9

Jayce / Rek’sai / Rumble / Varus / Tahm vs Irelia / Gragas / Yasuo / Aphelios / Bard

This was the second closest game for Cloud 9. CLG was actually close to winning the match and upseting the leader in the LCS standings, but they were unable to perform and lost the game in the end in traditional CLG fashion.

That is all for  Week 8, Day 2 coverage of LCS 2020, stay tuned for more in the upcoming days.
