The seventh week of LEC started with some tragic circumstances.

With the entire world starting to suffer from the coronavirus it was unclear if LEC will continue going forward.

SK Gaming vs Schalke 04

Gangplank / Diana / Pantheon / Aphelios / Thresh vs Vladimir / Gragas / Sett / Miss Fortune / Nautilus

Schalke 04 picked up an expected win after out drafting SK Gaming. In game, Schalke 04 played much better as well and are looking as a middle of the pack team, they are no longer the last place team they once were. If they keep improving, we could see them in top 4 for Summer Split.

Excel Esports vs Team Vitality

Gangplank / Sejuani / Syndra / Aphelios / Nautilus vs Sett / Gragas / Le’Blanc / Varus / Thresh

Vitality is the worst team in the league currently. Even though their drafts are good, they seem to get outplayed in every game. They managed to pick Infernal Dragon Soul this game after picking up 4 drakes but were still unable to defeat Excel Esports. While Excel started off the season quite well, they are looking lackluster in the past few games and their wins don’t seem deserved.

Rogue vs MAD Lions

Sett / Sejuani / Tristana / Syndra / Nautilus vs Renekton / Gragas / Viktor / Aphelios / Braum

Rogue played out of their mind this game, they managed to almost have a perfect game against MAD Lions. Finishing with 20 kills and 2 deaths in 28 minutes is quite a feat. MAD Lions managed to pick up both rift heralds and two dragons, but it was not enough to stop Rogue from their tracks and lost in the end to them.

Origen vs Misfits Gaming

Renekton / Zac / Corki / Aphelios / Nautilus vs Mordekaiser / Lee sin / Azir / Miss Fortune / Braum

Origen are pretty one dimensional with their tactics. They pick for scaling, but no enemy can punish them. They played better than Misfits Gaming and used their win conditions to close out the game without issues once they got their items.

Fnatic vs G2 Esports

Sett / Gragas / Yasuo / Kai’sa / Rakan vs Janna / Olaf / Akali / Ezreal / Yuumi

The match of the week was pure insanity. Once G2 locked in Janna top the crowd went wild. The game was quite close for most of the part, but once G2 got some items and got Olaf rolling, he became unstoppable with the help of Yuumi and Janna. Perkz had some off plays, but it was mostly due to Fnatic locking him down perfectly and preventing him from getting free movements in team fights. Both teams look like World Contenders and should they stay in this form, we will see them at the World Championship 2020.

That is all for  Week 7, Day 2 coverage of LEC 2020, stay tuned for more in the upcoming days.
