The seventh week of LCS started with some tragic circumstances.

With the entire world starting to suffer from the coronavirus it was unclear if LCS will continue going forward.

Team Solo Mid vs Cloud 9

Sett / Jarvan / Zilean / Xayah / Rakan vs Shen / Lee sin / Zoe / Miss Fortune / Leona

Team Solo Mid delivered the first loss to the unbeatable Cloud 9 roster. The draft was great by both teams, but TSM managed to play theirs better. They are currently undefeated on Xayah/Rakan and it’s unclear why Cloud 9 did not ban it away, considering how well they executed the combination in all their wins.

While there was a 10k gold towards the end, the game was never one-sided, Cloud 9 kept fighting back like a lion in a cage and almost pulled through, but were unsuccessful. This defeat put them in a good position to learn from mistakes and keep improving.

Dignitas vs 100 Thieves

Aatrox / Lee sin / Zoe / Aphelios / Tahm Kench vs Renekton / Trundle / Syndra / Miss Fortune / Leona

Dignitas started performing quite well early in the season but fell off a cliff going into the next weeks. 100 Thieves on the other hand have been looking more stable and more powerful going into playoffs.

Even though Dignitas secured the Cloud Dragon Soul, they were unable to use it properly in team fights and lost the game to 100 Thieves.

Team Liquid vs Counter Logic Gaming

Ornn / Lee sin / Viktor / Miss Fortune / Braum vs Janna / Trundle / Syndra / Aphelios / Thresh

What an upset.  The last place team managed to defeat the back to back champions of LCS. Counter Logic Gaming has looked extremely weak this season and no one expected them to win against Team Liquid, not even this weakened version who has no desire to win.

The game went to 51 minutes and there was a slight hope that TL would come back, but it did not happen.

Evil Geniuses vs FlyQuest

Mordekaiser / Pantheon / Taliyah / Senna / Nautilus vs Aatrox / Lee sin / Ahri / Aphelios / Shen

The standings seem to not matter, two upsets on the same day. EG played better and much more coordinated compared to their previous games. FlyQuest on the other hand picked up Ahri, an insanely weak champion in the current meta. The casters said that they have no idea why they prioritized this champion when more champions were available.
