The release date of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has been moved to a later date, the developer announced.

The role-playing action game was initially scheduled for launch within the first quarter of 2020. This is no longer possible as of now, though, because of certain reasons.

The original title was released in November 2004. Therefore, it has been almost 15 years since Bloodlines 1 was made available for Microsoft Windows.

Fast forward to the fourth quarter of 2019; fans only have five months more supposedly before the sequel’s expected release. Unfortunately, game developers Andy Kipling and Brian Mitsoda issued a statement to the dismay of Bloodlines 2 fans.

According to the second Vampire: The Masquerade title’s developers, they need more time to develop the game. This time extension would be used in finding ways to perfect the much-awaited Bloodlines second installment.

The developers specifically mentioned about making the storyline deep and designing “fascinating and amazing” characters and rich World of Darkness. It is worth noting that the Hardsuit Labs team has been working on the game for almost four years already.

Back in June this year, Bloodlines 2 was introduced formally at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2019 in Los Angeles. The gameplay was presented anew via an updated teaser during the 2019 Gamescom in Germany two months after.

More details and updates about the game’s development are expected to be known at the PDXCON 2019 this coming Saturday, October 19. Kipling and Mitsoda said they would be sharing exciting insights and the steps they have considered to make it better.

In the meantime, a Reddit forum will also be streamed on Sunday to respond to fans’ curiosity. This is what the developers thought of to keep the Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 fans updated.

Amid the postponement of the launch, the developers gave an assurance that the sequel will be out by 2020.

On the other hand, a post on the game’s official Twitter account provided a link of The Unseen faction. This group is comprised mainly of the Nosferatu and ruled by the Council of Three.

As a faction that came from the underground of the city, its members are good at gathering confidential information. This could be attributed to the mix of professions that belong to this group. Among them are engineers, hackers, and journalists.

The other Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 factions are The Newcomers, The Camarilla, The Pioneers, and The Baron.
