Fans of The Sims 4 have expressed a desire for the game’s swans to retain a visual flaw. So, in February of this year, an add-on called My Wedding Stories was published for The Sims 4. It included a new, romantic setting named Tartosa and many products centered around weddings.
In My Wedding Stories, players could help their Sims organize every detail of their wedding, from picking out the perfect dress to scouting the perfect reception hall. Traditional wedding garb and decorations from several countries are showcased in My Wedding Stories, which also endorses homosexual partnerships. Tartosa, a tropical site modelled like the islands of the Mediterranean, is included in this set as a bonus. It has beaches and old buildings, and swans often swim in the water along the shore. As a game expansion for The Sims 4, My Wedding Stories had all of these things and more.
The swans in Tartosa, a world in The Sims 4, are affected by a bug that causes them to change colors. As a result, swans can morph from white to pink, purple, blue, and green as they swim about in the water, as pointed out by frosty breakfast on Twitter. It’s almost as if the swans’ transformation into a rainbow of hues was planned, given that Tartosa is a honeymoon destination. Although that’s probably not the case, players appear to like this problem, with some even expressing they “never want to repair it.” Indeed, some commenters have urged other players not to report it in the hopes that the devs will not fix it in an upcoming version.
Even if the developer didn’t plan for rainbow-hued pride swans to appear, the location is perfect for them. If we’re lucky, the problem won’t be fixed and instead becomes a fun toggleable extra that players can engage with or ignore as they see fit.
