From all the surprises Naughty Dog could give to ps fans, the most shocking revelations are definitely The Last of Us Complete to PS5-namely, both The Last of Us Part I and Part II Remastered in a package. Even more significant is that cryptic tweet and picture regarding Joel’s watch. What does this symbolism refer to? A clue of sort? A tease? Or is it simply Naughty Dog having more of fun at our expense?
So let us begin, for now, with the bundle collection itself-which most likely accounts for anyone who missed the remastering of Part I for PS5 (which is a little bizarre honestly-how??) and has a chance to obtain both titles under pristine conditions: The Last of Us Part II Remastered. It is more than graphical updates; there will also be new contents, including lost levels and behind-the-scenes goodies-in fact, the real gem here is that watch.
Joel’s watch becomes a strange paradox. In the first game, it was a heartbreaking symbol of loss-his daughter Sarah gave it to him, and it stopped working once she died. The watch goes with Joel as he continues his life, worse for wear, but still ticking. And now Naughty Dog puts this front and center. Is there something deeper? Maybe a flashback scene we have yet to see? Or is Joel’s fate bound up in some mysterious way with the watch?
Fans are already going wild. Theories shoot up faster than a lunge from a Clicker. Someone links it to a Part III teaser, and others just say it might be a cool collectible on the remaster.
