The Elder Scrolls Online celebrated the Year of the Dragon in 2020. The ESO team has now announced they’re ready to announce the next big event into 2020.
The Global Reveal Event will air live from Las Vegas at the HyperX Esports Arena. While an MMORPG event may not seem like a significant event, Bethesda and Zenimax are going big for the announcement.

The Global Reveal Event will announce the next significant chapter in the long-running MMORPG. The event includes details about the upcoming chapter and year-long event. The newest chapter will likely unlock another major area in Tamriel and include new NPCs, classes, and more in 2020.
The event isn’t only being streamed live. Lucky fans can attend the event in person if they were lucky enough to RSVP early.
At the event, ZeniMax Online Studio’s Creative Director Rich Lambert and Bethesda Softworks’ SVP of Global Marketing and Communications Pete Hines will appear on stage to outline plans into 2020.
Also making an appearance are: Creative Director Rich Lambert, ZOS Dungeon Lead Mike Finnigan, ZOS Loremaster Leamon Tuttle, ESO Stream Team Partner KyleDempsterStudios, and Kash from the Loreseekers Podcast.
Additional announcements and special guest streams from the ESO community are also planned. There’s a special pre-show event planned from SypherPK plus announcements from Alcast, Ninja614, and KayPOWXD. Extra developer interviews were announced as well, but there’s no word on yet on who will be featured.
Those watching the event from a live stream can win exclusive rewards. Players will need to link their Twitch accounts to their ESO accounts to unlock prizes. Certain prizes are only unlocked if a specific number in concurrent viewers is achieved.
If 80,000 concurrent viewers are reached, all players will unlock The Long-Winged Bat pet. A surprise reward inspired by the community will be unlocked at 150,000 concurrent viewers.
Along with the Global Reveal are the ongoing performance issues. The ESO team continues to resolve the activities within the Activity Finder, which prematurely cut the Undaunted Event short in late 2019. The Undaunted Event only recently relaunched weeks later this year.
The Elder Scrolls Online Global Reveal Event takes place on January 16, 2020, at 5 PM EST. The event will air live on Twitch, Mixer, Facebook, YouTube, VK, and Steam.
