A modder in the game, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, has recently added Con Air actor Nicolas Cage in the game.

Cage’s image will not appear as a villain, but he would grace the game over screen. The modder named “kasaiji” posted about it on Nexus last Friday. So far, over 14,000 people have seen the post.

One can assume that more people are following kasaiji’s instructions on how to see Nic on Sekiro.

Nic’s appearance on Sekiro is actually being looked at some player as a sort of breather. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice has been described as a great game.

However, it has a roster of ruthless enemies including the birdman who suddenly ambushes players on top of the castle. The birdman alone is challenging to beat, and players may expect to get the kanji for death repeatedly. With Cage’s image as an option, one can make the game over screen a little less annoying.

To replace Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice’s death screen with Cage, players need to get the Sekiro mod engine.

Cage’s image is available in two colors to convey different messages about a player’s fate. The grey image appears when the players can still revive their characters. Meanwhile, the red image would mean that the players have come to the end of their game.

Once they do, they will lose a lot of items they got from the game. That includes half of the game experience acquired by the players and the Sen and money.

This is not the first time that the actor’s image has been used as a meme in games. For instance, the image of Cage was used by a Dragon Ball Fighter Z mod on Frieza’s character.

At that time, a lot of characters outside the game are making their way in. Nic’s character as the historian in the National Treasure also found its way to Division 2 private beta. The game has allowed players to steal the Declaration of Independence.

Cage’s image also appeared on FromSoftware’s Dark Souls III. Three years ago, a modder added an option to replace the game’s texture with the image of Nic. In the same game, the popular green ogre, Shrek, was also seen on the texture. Watch the other options here.
