Finally available for the PC this July is Stellar Blade, the much-talked-about action hack-and-slash game that has been a buzz in the PlayStation universe. This is never a job of mere porting. New features and updates are on their way for PS5, giving both platforms something to cheer about.
The first announcement appeared on PlayStation’s official Twitter account, and the reactions followed. Whereas some were ecstatic, others had… opinions on the PC release, yet some others wished that the news of the DLC would come any moment now. Madness, what?
Arguably, the second-most-discussed topic that contributed to the usual discord was the all-too-familiar console vs. PC debate. Some players, including WAJDY, went on to say, “I believe that even if you have a good setup on a PC, the preferred way of playing would still be on the PS5, because consoles are just fun.” Whereas some others like Gaming⚡️Hub stated the other side of the story bluntly, “PC games always hit different.” And, Six1Eye frowned on the slow rate of PlayStation exclusives finding their way to PC, calling it “not a good look” for Sony.
But they were not all attacking each other. A few were just truly happy to finally get their hands on the game. Xbox Joker 🃏 made a joke about playing it on the ROG Ally X (because irony), and then Shade gave the word “ENJOY 🤝” to the PC players.
Anyway, some had to complain. Eriksgameplay grieved about PlayStation about the overlay collapsing, FriedSoySpam was struggling to download DLC, while zipiol called for attention to Sony’s price disparities in Poland (340PLN for a $70 game? Ouch).
There came then some interesting opinions. Like omegazio, who called the PC “poison” and vowed PlayStation gamers will “show how far we will go.” Contrarily, ItzJoxxy_ had other priorities, tweeting, “Eve CHOKE ME ! Please ! 🥰” (We aren’t judging. Much.)
With the PC release, more gamers around the globe will get an opportunity to enjoy the fast-paced combat and breathtaking visuals of Stellar Blade. Since new content is dropping also on PS5 in parallel, the devs are certainly far from finished with it. Win-win for both PC and PlayStation gamers or, for memes; the blade surely packs a punch.
Excuse us while we check out if Eve holds up to the hype, and perhaps, we might shy away from the console wars for a bit.
