The week began gallantly with Insomniac Games giving one of those reminders on Twitter to make it a stretch before being faced with “massive, muscular, symbiotized enemies” in Spider-Man 2 PC. However, the hype produced for symbiotical actions did not sit well with players, who had other demands: DLC, fixes for the PC version, and Wolverine news.

The #BeGreaterTogether hashtag was intended to keep the message light and motivational. The responses started to mingling excitement with frustration and downright chaos. While another like GeekyTurboMax7 was urging Insomniac to slow down regarding their projects, saying, “keep going insomniac, take time to make good games… we will wait for long for good,” some like ItsMeJSB were less patient, “it’s insane levels of torture to have no DLC.”

Then the technical complaints began to flood in: “fix pc version, game is hard crashing many times,” demanded AstartesUltra. Oof, certainly not the best thing for a very new game meant to swing right into the hearts of players. While some begged for fixes, others were already thinking ahead. RafaelCorradeS3, “I’d love a Venom game from you guys.”

Not all replies were about the gameplay or future projects. One commenter took issue with Insomniac’s rainbow logo, with Samka_007 plainly demanding, “Change your profile picture back to normal no gay shit plz and thank you.” Yikes. On the other hand, Jason_Jameson10 had to put in a bit of an argument: “Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Miles Morales is Miles Morales.” Alright then.

That said, some kept it funny amidst the riot. TntMctnt2000 joked how the symbiote enemies destroyed their joy of crime fighting, accompanied by a meme of a weary Spider-Man, while KindaVaguely just elegantly gave the vibes: “Symbiote Mondays hit different.”

Now that is next on the list for Spider-Man 2 PC, so everyone wants to see DLC and fixes out very soon. Maybe then a Venom spin-off. Insomniac has not said anything on the matter yet, but they better not let the crowd down in deaf ears. A reminder to stretch before fighting those giant symbiotes is surely something to be asked by all.

The meanwhile, if you are flinging your web throughout New York, do mind those crashes—and maybe avoid the comment section unless you are sunshine for spicy takes.
