The duo of Tyson “TenZ” Ngo and Erick “aspas” Santos from Sentinels was exhibiting some funny solo queue antics; let’s say they did not go well. With the duo going on a hard 1-5 streak, the Valorant community sure did have a thing or two to say about it.
The original sarcastic tweet from Sentinels reads: “god bless anyone queuing ranked rn,” accompanied by a screenshot of the two pros in a lobby. Then the floodgates opened with a torrent of retorts leaning from sympathetic to downright mocking. One fan was lamenting the hard truth: “Expectation: tenz and aspas 2 goats duo gotta be unstoppable in ranked💯🐐🔥🔥🔥 Reality: won only 1 out of 6 games💀💀💀🥀🥀🥀.” Ouch!
Another user was all laughs, “Their record: 1W-5Ls 💀💀💀,” while another called them the “Ronaldo and Messi of Valorant duo rank 🐧🐧🐧,” except, you know, if Ronaldo and Messi suddenly forgot how to score. A couple of Sentinels members may have gotten sweaty by actually reading that, with one replying, “they won 1 out of 6 matches 🤡.”
But were they just warming up? Another fan was offered in Portuguese: “Estavam aquecendo” (“They were warming up”). Sure, why not? Others took this occasion as the perfect time to highlight their own prowess, with one player acerbically stating, “We play CS, no worries 😉,” as if playing Counter-Strike would make them less terrifying than a Valorant pro.
What’s a Valorant drama without some Dragon Ball Z references? One fan wondered: “Real question is who’s Vegeta in this? I see both of them as Goku ngl😂,” while another declared, “aspas is easily Goku seeing him carry multiple teams.” At least these memes have done more carrying than the duo managed in ranked.
Even given such an insulting season of play, the community’s confidence in these two players is still at a high-pitched level-the two are still among the crème de la crème. Maybe they were trolling, maybe the genuine ranked gods cast a curse on them, or maybe they were just laughing at their own misery. I suppose if you stumbled upon their lobbies, congratulations on a free EQ boost (or a not-so-free one).
