Alright, stalkers-this is for YOU. GSC Game World has just injected some colossal news into your PDA. Next year shall see the free updates for all the three titles of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy-Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat-one enhancement that will make an elder-time Stalker just sit back in shock.

Mark the calendar-the release happens May 20, 2025, of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition for PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. You heard it right-there will be no acquisition charges whatsoever for owners who had bought it before. No sneaky business this time.

What’s new? Oh, the whole lot-New lighting, new shaders, improved textures, and finally, the thing all of us have been begging for: full gamepad support across all platforms. PC users should relish this as keyboard-and-mouse support is now also fully optimized for consoles.

Verified for the Steam Deck. Integration with the Steam Workshop. Basically, GSC dumped the Zone into the hands of the modders-and you know how excited they’re going to be.

The announcement came out guns blazing, immediately filling the replies with excitement (and a couple of burning questions). People like @Vile35tv and @ozgurstein want to know whether they will have to buy the trilogy again for this upgrade? Short answer? No. If the games are already yours, you are good to go-wait for 2025.

On the other hand, @AlexanderSSilv1, @alanllima_, and Switch owners (I’m looking at you, @boris_dg) are begging for Portuguese localization and hate the very thought of a Nintendo port. GSC has never uttered a peep on those just yet, but hey, the Zone works in mysterious ways.

Then, Steam Deck users (@AndreLSS91, @kogoshodesu) are going to blow the roof off at such status. Shall not last them long to forget about modding-community-auction of TheGreatSaysay, who just gave a two-word command: “Modders, it’s time.” With Steam Workshop support becoming available, the Zone may just get a lot stranger (or hopefully less crash-prone).

…and Ukrainian voice acting, confirmed. Russian VO, reportedly said to be cut, by @faith00f8. Well, considering GSC hails from Ukraine, this isn’t far-fetched-an opinion that set a holiday off in the replies.

All in all, this isn’t just your lazy port; it’s the full-blown glow-up of one of the grittiest franchises in gaming history. Whether you are new to it or a Monolith die-hard, 2025 is looking to be a pretty decent year to experience Chernobyl once again. Just watch out for those emissions, yeah?
