First, correct me if I am wrong: Ryu Hayabusa isn’t just some random guy in a video game. He’s THE ninja for whom wall-running became cool even before it was a thing; the one who turned Dragon Swords into an art. Of course, the internet went berserk when Team Ninja tweeted, “Happy Birthday to the legendary super ninja Ryu Hayabusa!” with that cool ninja emoji and #YearoftheNinja.
The players aren’t about to have any cake or throw any confetti or anything like that. They have been yelling about Ninja Gaiden 4, at least for this moment (probably).

So what do we gather from this? Ryu Hayabusa is still a legend; the players are nuts for Ninja Gaiden 4 news, and most of them have already cast away the Dragon Sword era. Team Ninja has a mountain to climb—that’s if the hype is actually this real for one single birthday tweet. Imagine when the official trailer drops, though.
