The next game in the Resident Evil franchise is a remake of Resident Evil 3. It has garnered a lot of attention lately thanks to Capcom’s efforts of pushing the title via game leaks and trailers. Thus far, it’s shaping up to be an amazing re-imaging of a beloved survival-horror game.
Like Resident Evil 2 Remake, this latest one is improving upon the original in many different ways. The graphics are better. The mechanics are more refined. Even Project Nemesis is better in all of the right ways. It’s shaping up to be one of the best Resident Evil games to date, and its release is just around the corner.
Before then, though, a demo is being put out. It will be available on the the 19th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. So if you’re eagerly wanting to find out what enhancements were made to this classic title or see what new elements there are, March 19th is worth marking on your calendar.
In the demo, you’ll get to play as Jill Valentine. She’s on a mission to find stragglers throughout Raccoon City. In addition to braving the hordes of zombies, you’ll get to go toe to toe with Project Nemesis. He’s quite the intimidating tyrant that should put a lot of tension into your gameplay.
Just as you think you’ve found a safe area, he’ll come knocking down walls without warning. It’s like the tyrant in Resident Evil 2 Remake, only way more powerful and enhanced. From what has been shown of his weapons, he looks like an unstoppable force. You’ll definitely need to be attentive when moving about Raccoon City alongside Carlos Oliveira.
Along with completing a couple of tasks in this demo, there is also a scavenger hunt. It seems pretty appropriate considering Easter is just around the corner. The premise is to find a select number of Mr. Charlie statues throughout the various areas. If you enjoy an added challenge, the hunt will be right up your alley.
The official release for Resident Evil 3 Remake is April 3. That’s approaching pretty quick and this demo seems like the best way to get an appetizer before the full course zombie meal. Those who’ve already had the pleasure of playing this game have a lot of positive things to say. It seems like Capcom has done it once again. They’re on a roll right now and don’t seem to be slowing down any time soon.
