The announcement was made on Twitter, along with the release timeframe in binary code.

Ruiner was initially released in September 2017. The game is currently available in full, with no additional DLC. The only additional content is the official soundtrack.

With the official announcement, Reikon Games didn’t give any extra information about the Nintendo Switch release. It’s unknown if the game will be bundled with any bonuses or extra content. The game itself hasn’t been updated in several weeks but was made available free on the Epic Game Store in November 2019. It’s possible the game may be available free again in the future on the Epic Game Store.

All fans know for now is that Ruiner on Nintendo Switch will be a port of the existing version already available on PC and multiple consoles.

With the Cyberpunk-inspired landscape of Ruiner, many are hoping for a physical edition of the game with some limited-edition merchandise.

Reikon Games hasn’t given any further details concerning the release, but currently, Ruiner is only available as a digital download. It’s lightly that the Nintendo Switch version will only be a Switch eShop digital download, as well.

The binary code for the release date doesn’t list an actual date, and only spells out “Soon.” When a fan on Twitter asked for more specifics on the release date, Reikon Games could only confirm the Nintendo Switch port was in progress.

Ruiner is a brutal action shooter set in the year 2091 in the cyber metropolis Rengkok. A wired psychopath lashes out against a corrupt system to uncover the truth and retrieve his kidnapped brother under the guidance of a secretive hacker friend. Combine preternatural reflexes, augmented tools, and the arsenal of fallen foes to tear down and dismantle the corporate titans of virtuality dealers at HEAVEN.” states the official Steam store description.

Members of the Reikon Games development team have previously worked on titles such as The Witcher 1-3, Dead Island, and Dying Light.
