Prepare trainers for an exciting celebration in Pokemon GO. There is a special two-day event coming up that will feature Community Day encounters and bonuses on Saturday, December 14, and Sunday, December 15, 2019. This is the developer’s way of saying thank you for joining them on community days throughout the years and celebrate the game that fans love.
All around the world, fans celebrate community days together. They go out and explore, trying to catch the exclusive Pokemon that has an increased spawn on that particular day. This is a great chance to round out your collection, gather extra XP, and participate in Raids and other group events that are in your local area.
The Community Day Celebration Schedule is outlined on the main Pokemon GO website. The event will start on December 14, 2019, at 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. your local time. During this time, several Pokemon will spawn more frequently.
The Pokemon you will likely find in the wild are Totodile, Swinub, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Slakoth, Tapinch, Bagon, Turtwig, and Chimchar. In raids, you will find Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Dratini, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Mareep, Larvitar, and Beldum. Hatching eggs during this time has an increased chance of hatching Bulbasaur, Charmander, Pikachu, Dratini, Totodile, Mareep, Swinub, Larvitar, Treecko, Torchic, Slakoth, and Bagon.
Beginning at 11:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m. your local time, you can also get some exciting bonuses to your game. Totodile, Swinub, Treecko, Torchic, Slakoth, and Bagon will all appear more frequently. You will also have double the Catch Stardust, Catch XP, and half the Egg Hatch Distance when eggs are placed in incubators during these three hours.
On Sunday, December 15, there is a different set of Pokemon with an increased spawn. During the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Totodile, Swinub, Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, Ralts, Slakoth, Trapinch, Bagon, Turtwig, and Chimchar will all appear more frequently in the wild. Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Dratini, Chokorita, Cyndaquil, Mareep, Larvitar, and Beldum will be spawning in Raids. Squirtle, Eevee, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Mudkip, Ralts, Trapinch, Beldum, Turtwig, and Chimchar will all have an increased chance of hatching from Eggs.
From the hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. your local time Mudkip, Ralts, Trapinch, Turtwig, and Chimchar will all appear more frequently. You will also receive the standard double Catch Stardust, Catch XP, and eggs will hatch in half the time.
During both of these days, you will be able to evolve Community Day Pokemon with the exclusive event moves. This is the last chance to pick up these special attacks, so make sure to catch them while you can.
