NBA 2K in one voice announced that the Season 7 pass is ready to be upgraded. People have reactions at all ends of the spectrum. The official NBA 2K tweet wrote, “Players unlocking the Season Pass will automatically receive four rewards, and another 40 premium rewards to earn-by itself is pretty decent, right?” It is the replies that seem to presently tell an altogether different story.
First off, there are some who are sincerely confused. They wrote, “what’s the point of upgrading if the rewards are not worth it?” A certain @2k_hooper_ expressed their own anger by stating, “Ya not tired giving us unacceptable rewards WHO EVER WORKING IN THAT DEPARTMENT NEED TO BE FIRED THIS IS TERRIBLE.” How displeased is he? Another user @jg_clutch_city warned in a straightforward manner, “Don’t do it ppl.” So the upgrade wins absolutely zero glowing recommendation from here.
That was when the daggers start flying about the rewards themselves. Players were aggrieved by the fact that the big prize at level 40 is nothing but +1 cap breaker. Like c’mon, it is Season 7-the rewards gotta be a little juicier by now! This is precisely what @bronisthegoat6 put it: “It’s season 7 you could give more than +1 at level 40.” And @JDCowboys2 then added,”Why do we only have +1 cap breaker in MAY?” Can 2K show love to the grinders?
Well, of course, not all are frustrated: some just want to enjoy the memes. @tsmolz laughed off the Lava Lamp Head reward; meanwhile, @KiNGTy918 said, “Really a F bonnet😂 y’all definitely bored at this point.” So at least the devs are keeping things… interesting?
Then, some players obviously want just the fix for gameplay. @_ChiefChad kept it short and snappy: “Upgrade the gameplay.” No extras, no frills: just fix the game, please. Meanwhile, @RoashieP keeps pleading for one-and-only -“MAKE ZION SF/PF.” How many times do we gotta say it before it happens?
And then you’ve got the fashion-“HeatLoco” that is begging for more jersey options, White Heat LeBron Jersey specifically: “Please flood us with jerseys.” Meanwhile, @dolph1of1’s want is as simple as “Should’ve kept PG with number 24”. Priorities, man.
And in any case, Season 7 pass upgrade is here. Love it or hate it, one thing for certain is that NBA 2K fans have never been shy about expressing their opinions. Some are pumped for the new rewards; some say it is a waste of their time while some are just drifting with the chaos. Personally, if you are on the fence about upgrading, maybe you should see what is being said in the community or just take the chance to check if the rewards can really make your time worth the grind.
