Good Shepherd Entertainment and Shiney Shoe have made it to Closed Beta and opened registration on their main website. The beta will run from now until March 19 and will feature both solo and multiplayer game modes for you to enjoy.

It is tricky to get involved in digital deck-building, but this game’s unique theme seems to be driving it forward at an amazingly fast pace. Players will pit two decks of spells and minions against each other to protect the train and your Pyre from the enemy’s invasion. The unique challenge has created an interesting environment for any deck-building enthusiast to take a big bite out of.

In Monster, Train Hell has literally frozen over. It is up to you to protect the last Pyre from the forces of heaven so that you can ensure that Hell burns bright once again.

What makes this title extremely interesting the train itself built into the middle of the game field and offering three vertical fields of battle that must be defended at every moment. This Monster Train might be the defining factor that separates this title from so many other roguelike deck-builders on the market.

There are five clans in the game that combine together to fight for Hell. Challenging enemies present unique challenges for you to customize your deck against, and each clan offers a unique route on how to protect Hell. No playthrough will be the same with over 200 cards to select from within this title.

Monster Train has a unique time-based online multiplayer mode that they have dubbed “Hell Rush.” The game mode allows for up to eight players to compete against one another in time-based challenges. The timer presents intense pressure as players must take on different challenges for a unique challenge.

The two developers working on this title have a reputation within the multiplayer game world for creating unique gaming experiences. Good Shepherd Entertainment has the privilege of being backed by some of the more notable names of the game industry, such as Perfect World and Devolver Digital, while Shiny Shoe has collaborated with Oculus and Telltale in the past.

Monster Train will release for PC during the second quarter of 2020. They have already launched their closed beta but interested players are free to sign up on the game’s website until March 19. It is unknown how much this game will be on release, but at least there is a Steam Page live for fans to add this title to their wishlist.
