Fans of Minecraft have been big winners for downloading “The Travelling Trader” free map.

Mojang has made its sandbox game a platform to help more or less 3,000 individuals have access to clean water. To achieve this, it has sought the help of the game’s avid followers.

The game developer is not new anymore in terms of helping charity: water. This is the organization which received $10,000 from it earlier this year. This group aims to bring water to different people in various areas all over the world. And Mojang is more than willing to extend a helping hand continuously.

Thus, Mojang posted an announcement on the official website of Minecraft asking fans’ help for its realization. By downloading the game, the players have made it possible for the beneficiaries to get what they always wanted finally.

The committed amount is $90,000. And this will be handed to charity: water once the number of “The Travelling Trader” map downloads would reach 100,000. To everyone’s surprise, the target was surpassed in less than 24 hours.

The developer revealed this through the game’s official Twitter account. Mojang also congratulated everyone who responded to the former’s call. It even pointed out that the fans surely did an “amazing job.”
With such a gesture, fans have become winners in helping others. Aside from that, they were rewarded with two llama skins as well.

In the meantime, the enthusiastic Minecraft players have another reason to be ecstatic about. It is a known fact that a movie version of the game is on its way.

Based on its official announcement, the live-action film has a release date of March 4, 2022. So far, the following details have been shared:

● It talks about the adventure of a teenage girl
● She is set to experience a number of “unlikely” adventures
● The objective is to keep the Overworld safe from the path of destruction caused by Ender Dragon
● It will be directed by Peter Sollett, the man behind the 2008 movie Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist
● It will be produced with the help of Warner Bros., a big name behind numerous successful projects

It can be recalled that the game was first revealed in 2016. Back then, the release date was believed to be on May 24, 2019, Business Insider reported. It was learned, too, that it would be shown in IMAX and 3-D.
