Basically, MINDSEYE gave a sneak peek of its falling physics and… gamers basically went apeshit. The NikTekOfficial tweet showed the characters tumbling and landing in the game with the reactions really heating up.
So, first of all, the physics look… questionable. One of the editors said it looks like something out of 2008, and I am not going to disagree with that. Someone else even termed it as “one of the worst games of 2025,” then snorts at “$55” being the price tag. Oof. Another comment was really hilarious; it said, after falling 30 floors, the character died of a “stomach ache.” Hilarious!
Wait, it really does go on. Some replies were just pure confusion, like “What the hell is MINDSEYE?”, which is in its own right, a fair question. Others put it down for being like an indie title, claiming that indie titles have been propping up the industry while AAA studios drop… whatever this is.
There you have a debate on whether the physics are even okay in 2025. Spoiler alert: mostly the answer is a resounding no. A number people “couldn’t pay me to play this,” which is literally the mood. Then there is the one that says the game “looks too pretty to be the mess that it is.” Smacks.
Some people came in to defend saying it wasn’t that bad, but their protestations were quickly drowned by the mob. One brave voice said they did not care at all about the criticism, but uh, obviously, everyone else did.
Also, that theory claims this was an NFT game to begin with. Because why not?
At this point, it really has become clear that MINDSEYE does need a whole lot of fixing before launch. Just the falling physics have gamers ready to riot, and if the rest of the game is anything like this… well, good luck, devs.
So, yes, if you ever set yourself hyped for MINDSEYE, maybe lower the hype a little. Or just go play something else. Literally anything else.
