For gamers seeking smooth gameplay, NVIDIA was generous in announcing Mecha BREAK with DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation to utterly destroy FPS. The tech demo is churning out some mindless FPS numbers, from 144 up to 486, while half the townfalledstanders seem to refute all the hype.

What is this DLSS 4 now? It’s another witchcraft-technical trick from NVIDIA that uses AI to insert fake frames between real frames to keep the gameplay buttery smooth. But what do some players call these fake frames? They claim it causes blur, ghosting, and input lag. A user, @NEKIOCO, mockingly said, “I take 144 raw frames, then fake blurry frames,” and @ZurghamTanveer called these fake frames “People buy 4K screens for clarity, not this stupid bullshit.” Ouch.

Then there are those who love it! @FatihByrktroglu said, “Wow, nice almost 3x better amazing results,” while @Adic27 said, “Damn wish I could get those frame rates but I’m stuck with a GTX 980.” In the meantime, @Histtou said, “I’m getting old, can’t see any differences.” Same here, man.

The trade-off is really hot-hot. @StabYourBrain told NVIDIA, “Okay now show the input delay with 400 fake FPS,” and @Fruitbrute2 replied, “10 Trillion FPS: 7 trillion fake frames and 9.8s lag lol.” Even @wallstreetboob considers it an opportunity to bring back the classic “mY eYeS cAn OnLy SeE 30 fPs” meme, one the gamer community really will refuse to let die.

But here’s one thing: DLSS 4, for better or worse, is indeed breaking new ground. The hyperkinetic mech battles of Mecha BREAK now serve as ground zero for this tech, and let’s say if you’ve an RTX card, you’re well within your rights to witness these weird activations. But then don’t expect @mattygaming9928 to smile—he said, “Fuk ur fake frames.”

The playing field has been opened. Are you going to welcome the frame multiplier, or present raw performance? One way or another, the rollout of Mecha BREAK DLSS 4 is an omen for the AI-powered future of gaming-artifacts and ghosting included.
