Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok, the rumored next sequel in the series by Ubisoft, is yet to be officially revealed. Still, yesterday some details on the game were available through an online leak.

Based on this new leak, the anticipated entry in the series is going to be a cross-gen title, which would launch on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and also Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5.

However, the game would be getting revealed next month and be officially released in September.

Listed below are some of the leaked information on the entry:
• The title for the next game will be Ragnarok, nicknamed Kingdom
• The game is expected to launch on PS4, PS5 Xbox Series X, and Xbox One.
• It would be officially unveiled in February at the upcoming PlayStation event, and the official release date will be on September 29th, 2020.
• In Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok will consist of new improvements to the RPG mechanics that were first introduced in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as the combat, stealth, and parkour system.
• The system would still need different classes and mild skill tree changes based on category. It’s even possible to change player class by a specific character.
• The combat mechanism is upgraded with more weapon types and unique abilities for every weapon gathering. In the new entry, each weapon can have runes included, durability revamped, and also improved at the same time.
• The toughness of the weapon came into play, forcing players to make use of their weapon pool more effectively and prepared to manage a smaller inventory that is upgradable.
• To release adrenaline, players would have to go into berserker mode, which activates individual runes like frost, lightning damage, or fire.
• Also, parkour is rebuilt with new animations and tree climbing.
• The stealth mode is now upgraded; things like hiding in the mud, crouching in bushes, hiding in bales of hay, snow, etc. players can even sneak in crowds of civilians if their outfit is not revealing. Otherwise, it can attract attention.
• There is now co-op in the new entry.
• Now up to 4 players can drop in as it’s similar to Ghost Recon: Wildlands
• In AC: Ragnarok, there would be a reputation system that ensures the quests and missions available in individual kingdoms once a certain height of reputation has been reached.
• The reputation system is based on quests completed for people in cities, clothing worn, crimes committed, town officials, etc. Players can only achieve some pursuits and mission after reaching a certain reputation with kingdoms.
• Also, there would no longer be any level locked regions due to the new progression system.
• Leveling is maintained to allow players to enhance skillsets to gather experience, as similar to Skyrim. Because of that, level locking regions are slashed out.
• Also, some skills are unlocked by attaining a high enough skillset level; some of the skillsets would have to be bought with skill points, while others can be unlocked through story/game progression.

Also, the Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok map is said to be voluminous, featuring most of the Northern Europe as well as massive cities like London, York, Kiev, and Paris. These metropolitan cities do make some sense, considering the Viking setting, as Danes and Northmen raided those areas and created a settlement for them.

According to the source, the map is so massive. We are looking at all of northern Europe here. Like big cities in London, Paris, Kiev, and York. Each of these kingdoms was built to be unique.

Since the leak comes from an anonymous source, one can only take it with a grain of salt. Moreover, there have been leaks about the Assassin Creed series previously, and this has become come as years have gone by. However, there’s a decent chance that yesterday’s leak could be authentic.

With that said, we’re still waiting for an official confirmation of Assassin’s Creed Ragnarok. Check back for updated news and also on the game as soon as possible, until then, happy gaming!!!
