The Epic Games Store is at it again with its free offerings. Starting next week, PC gamers can pick up the compelling Kingdom Come: Deliverance for free. If you like story-driven RPGs, this is definitely a title worth checking out. \n \nOriginally releasing in 2018, Kingdom Come: Deliverance is set in the Holy Roman Empire. That has always been an interesting period that not many video games masterfully depict. That's not the case with this title, though. It gives you an authentic peak behind the curtain of these times. \n \nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=H8koXXTPbA0 \n \nYou play as Henry, the son of a blacksmith. Just as you feel settled in your role, invaders come to your lands and slaughter your family. Thus, revenge is the driving force behind this RPG. In addition to avenging your parents, you'll meet some interesting characters along the way. Some you grow particularly fond of and develop meaningful relationships with. \n \nThis game does a great job at showing the hardships people had to face during these less civilized times. Not only is civil war affecting every area, famine and sickness are real threats spreading throughout the lands. \n \nThe game was received well when it first released because of its expansive open-ended areas. There are just so many places to visit in this game. You feel like you have complete control, too. You'll encounter all sorts of sights like vast fields, majestic castles, and other stunning visuals that the developers have rendered beautifully. You would be hard-pressed to find a more complete experience in terms of completing quests and exploration, quite frankly. \n \nThe story shapes out in non-linear form. That's great news if you like doing things on your own schedule. Instead of hitting the main story right away, there are a bunch of quests you can check out. They give you the chance to get familiar with this game's worlds and mechanics. \n \nThe combat is another shining feature that will have you coming back time and time again. It definitely warrants attention to detail, though. You'll use stealth, melee, and an in-depth countering system. \n \nBefore every battle, you'll get to choose weapons that suit your favorite play style. The more you play, the more skills and weapons you'll unlock. Thus, if you stick with this game, you'll become a master of the sword and shield. Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an incredible offering that you might consider adding to the collection next week by visiting the Epic Games Store.
