Developer Inti Creates has announced Dragon Marked For Death is heading to PC via Steam in late April. The game was initially released on the Nintendo Switch but will come with content from the Switch release.
The game is a 2D side-scrolling action RPG with either solo or multiplayer options. Players can use online multiplayer with up to four friends.
“You play as the survivors of the Dragonblood Clan who set out to take revenge on the Kingdom of Medius, who destroyed their home and captured the Dragonblood Oracle, Amica. To obtain the power they need to enact their revenge, they forge a pact with the Astral Dragon Atruum.” states the Steam description.
Players can choose from four unique characters when starting the game: Empress, Warrior, Shinobi, or Witch. These were the characters released at launch, but the DLC characters will be included in the Steam release.
As the game progresses, players will level up and earn points to increase attack, defense, agility, and more. Character skills can be customized to best suit gamers’ playstyle.
Throughout the game, players can accept quests from villagers. This is important in raising the characters’ status in the kingdom, which has an overall impact on the game’s ending.
Quests are also an opportunity to find hidden treasure or obtain other rewards. The quests range from guarding a ship’s passengers to rescuing damsels in distress from a castle under siege.
While the game is playable solo, taking advantage of multiplayer will grant players even more rewards.
Inti Creates announced on Twitter that the Steam version will come with all of the playable characters (Empress, Warrior, Shinobi, Witch, Oracle, and Bandit). The additional DLC already pre-loaded in the game. This includes the Additional Quest: The Dragonblood Village and the Additional Storyline: The Dragonblood Bandit. The Dragonblood Village quest can be accepted in the Bar in town.
Those who purchase the game within two weeks it launches will receive the “Striker Gear” equipment DLC for free. This is a set of four special weapons.
Dragon Marked For Death is available on the Nintendo Switch now. It initially launched on the platform in January 2019.
Dragon Marked For Death is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam on April 21.
