Level 91 Entertainment and PQube announced Inertial Drift back in October 2019. The game was revealed to have a 2020 release date, but no official time was given other than that. Now the game now only has a release date but also a list of platforms and a physical release set to launch later this year.

The game will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC for both a physical and digital launch. This one-on-one raver will test players’ ability to drift at high speeds, and add a new world of competitive gaming to several platforms. This is an old-fashioned facade racing game with twin-stick drifting controls allowing players complete control over the precision drifting.

The game introduced a brand new look at drifting within games. Inertial Drift re-imagines drifting and driving mechanics with a roster of fast and powerful cars. Take on other racers and drift for victory while never reducing speed. The unique handling and two-stick drift mechanics give the game a feeling unlock any other.

Inertial Drift is set in a retro 90’s future and pits players in one-on-one racing competitions. The right-hand stick gives players complete control over their drift, while the left handles steering. Never slow down and drift past every turn and insane speeds with ultimate precision.

The game launches with 16 different cars for players to drive. From sport hatchbacks to supercars, players are challenged to master the unique characteristics in every vehicle. Take on demanding tracks with over 20 options as players race through neon city streets to winding mountain passes. This is the ultimate in drift racing, with a feeling that will leave players wanting more.

The single-player story mode allows players to perfect their skill with a mix of racing, head-to-head challenges, time trials, and style showdowns. Pick your racer and vehicle and take to the streets in competitive street racing. Once you have mastered the perfect drift, take on your friends with local multiplayer options.

From the cars to the game’s aesthetics, this experience will send you speeding into the future, by looking into the past. The arcade-style makes it a very easy game to pick up, but the speed and drift mechanics will make it quite a challenge to master.
