Agent 47 is ready for a portable mission since it’s time to prepare his fiber wire and disguises with Hitman World of Assassination on the Nintendo Switch! Well, in fact, you can pre-order the Signature Edition now.
What exactly constitutes “Signature Edition?” Most likely, it means everything for the entire Hitman experience bundled together into a tidy package-comprising all the content from the games Hitman 1, 2, and 3.
And that means all locations, all targets-the outlandish slapstick ways one could transform even the simplest of assassinations into comedy. And it’s time to do this on the go! Let us just say that there is nothing more gratifying than eliminating a target without making a sound while in line at the DMV.
Pre-orders are already public, and if you’re one who likes their killing to be done onscreen with some physical goodies attached to it, you better hurry. And there has not been a word yet on features exclusive to Switch (some perhaps rub with some motion-controlled garroting?), but the developer has raised the bar on expectations after seeing how IO Interactive had it way with the trilogy thus far.
Here comes the big question: how’s this going to run on the Switch? We’ve seen some amazing ports /cough /cough DOOM, but those levels are so lush and sprawling, they could really put the pressure on Nintendo’s hardware. Perhaps, however, IO might be able to do it. After polishing this trilogy for what feels like years, if they can fit it unto the hand-held without making it a slide-show, that’s a win for us!
Ah, and this is quite a lot because it’s the very first time Hitman 3 is making an entry at a Nintendo console. The series has had sweeping success (pun totally intended) over PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, while switch owners have now been completely neglected…until now. So if you were saving your strength to play with Hitman on the loo (absolutely no judgment), your time has come.
Pre-orders will begin as early as possible, an official release date is not yet released, but to be sure, we would not leave the updates here. Meanwhile, train your silent takedowns in anticipation-or relive the magic of that one footage where someone kills a guy with a fish. One way or the other, it’s going to get real deadly for the Switch.
So now, if you have long been searching for a good excuse to play Hitman on the go, this is it! Now go-agent-it’s time to take the world (of Assassination).
