Okay, So the Internet version of this story, with a screw loose in all this glamour. Agent 47 is back in town, and what a grand entrance for the Nintendo Switch 2! Just dropped, 100- plus hours: the Hitman World of Assassination – The Signature Edition of methodical stealthy-sideways assassination is what we get for some critics on the internet.

This had, first and foremost, to be a beast of a game. We are talking about Hitman 1, 2, and 3 in one Super Deluxe bundle; plus, just a little more: You get extra disguises, more outrageous ways to kill people, as well as the odd accidental, “Holy cuss, did I just push that guy off a balcony?” moments. The Signature Edition is digital only (no physical cartridge for us), and prices stand at $59.99. Pretty decent price for a triple set of AAA stealth sandboxes, wouldn’t you say?

Things get spicy from this point onward. These players are *not* pleased, @eViL_TOX being the sorest of sour grapes: The Ladykiller Switch port was termed as “dog s**t monetization,” lack of good quality offline mode, and no DLC to get 100% completion-ouch. And, of course, others in these conversations stated these issues are not unique to the Switch standpoint–really, the entire act of “buy more DLC to get the full game” has been an annoyance across the franchise.

Now, this keeps it all confusing for Switch2. Some replies joked about how Nintendo needs to actually make some more Switch2 consoles before hyping up any games. Other replies just rejoiced that at last, imperfectly so, one could actually play Hitman on the go. @potatoshovel really nailed it: “HOURS upon HOURS of content. Worth it.”

The whole debate is about which version is better, meanwhile. @AdriShaban31709 secretly bashed the Switch port by saying the PS4 one has “better graphics, not glitchy,” and stirred a lot of responses. Others countered with “Then go play that version and leave the rest of us alone,” while some just shrugged and said, “Might have to check this out.”

And then some witty genius threw in a “Nintendo Direct soon?” Because, of course, every single Nintendo tweet must be a drab lead-in to an actual Direct. (Spoiler: No.)

So the verdict, is it? If you really are a Hitman fan who’s been waiting to take his or her assassinations on the go, this is it. The weirdness is there. The whole DLC situation is a mess. Yet underneath all of that, it’s still that brilliantly chaotic stealth sim that we adore. Just don’t expect it to be perfect unless you’re familiar with the wobbly bits-that, honestly, is half the fun.
