Hideo Kojima never fails to shock with wild imagination shining through kinking little tweets each time they appear. The pseudonym on the tweet reads: ‘Went from being in control to out of control but still in control… think about it.’

And as if that wasn’t cryptic enough, there’s also a video also incoherent and instantly debunked by Konda Mes who-would-a-think-that-the-mancare-make-us-question-reality-kind-of-video.

The video is a 12-second clip that shows-all-too-loosely, in fact, show-an empty dark room, some flashing lights, and maybe a silhouetted figure way back there? Classic Kojima. No context, no explanation-just vibes. Naturally, the internet spun out over theories. Death Stranding 2 tease? New project? Or Kojima messing with our heads (again)?

But here’s the thing-Kojima’s tweets are like rorscharch tests for gamers. Everybody else sees what they “want” to see. Some say next Metal Gear is what it is pointing to (lol). Some think it’s about control and chaos in his games. Then there are some who are like, “Bro’s trolling, go to bed.”

What’s crazy is how quiet the replies are. Normally, a garden of hype and confusion for someone like Kojima is made by his tweets, but this one could hear crickets chirping. Perhaps they are all busy deconstructing every second of that video.

Or perhaps they have come to terms with the fact that the mind of Kojima can never be unravelled.

So what takeaway do we expect? Either Kojima is cooking something really big or he enjoys watching us spiral. Either way, we are here for it. Stay tuned, for if history has taught us anything, this man does not tweet without a reason. Or does he?
