The series takes readers into the Dungeons and Dragons-inspired world of Goblin Slayer. Their world has several threats from dragons and evil sorcerer elves, but hurting ordinary villagers, the most are goblins. These pests have ruined farms and kidnapped women; something young Goblin Slayer witnessed and was powerless to fight against.

Goblin Slayer, traumatized by his past, trains to become stronger. His only goals are to take jobs exterminating goblins and repairing his weapons. Fate changes when he meets Priestess, a young teen who helps Goblin Slayer on his journey. With his new party, Goblin Slayer slowly learns how to become human again while never relaxing on his goal to defeat the growing goblin armies.

In 2018, the series began to rise in popularity due to the anime adaptation. The first season was twelve episodes and told the story of how Goblin Slayer met his current party: Priestess, High Elf Archer, Dwarf Shaman, and Lizard Priest.

The release of the mobile game will occur around the release of the upcoming anime film, Goblin’s Crown, scheduled to be released on February 1, 2020, in theaters across Japan.

Plans have been announced to award 300 fans “special currency” to use in-game to aid their goblin hunting adventures.
