Hack-and-slash rogue-lite Conan Chop Chop has once again pushed back its release date. Developer Mighty Kingdom and publisher Funcom announced on social media and the official Steam store page that the game was no longer being released on February 25.
The game’s previous release date is now unknown for now, but the time frame is planned for Q2 2020.
We're very excited about Conan Chop Chop and we're going to need a little more polish before full release. Therefore we're moving the release date to Q2 2020:https://t.co/wsc1wETXBL

Conan Chop Chop is a hack-and-slash game featuring stick figures and is set in the world of Conan the Barbarian. The game can be played solo or with up to four players. The developer claims it is the most “epic and realistic” stick figure game in this fantasy world.
The story from the Steam store is simple: “The treacherous wizard Thoth-Amon has devised a plan to resurrect the ancient evil that is Xaltotun. If he succeeds, he will condemn the world to an eternity of darkness and enslavement. Only you can stop him, but in order to do so you must use all your cunning. All your guile. You must summon all your courage and swordsmanship. You must … Chop Chop!”
Players can choose through a roster of interesting characters, not just Conan the Barbarian. There is also a range of enemies to defeat, depending on where players are in the fantasy world.
The game has random maps with several weapons and abilities to choose from, so players won’t play through exactly the same way twice. There are also several side quests to get distracted with, such as helping a little girl find her teddy bear. While the game is based in the world of Conan the Barbarian, there are also additional fantasy elements to amuse and entertain players.
While the game may sound fun, unfortunately, it’s been pushed back to optimize the game for online multiplayer and to add “extra polish.” There are a few additional details about the issues the developers are facing.
Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time the game has been pushed back. The game was initially planned for release in September 2019. The game was pushed back to Q1 2020, but the release date was then announced as February 25. Once again, the game has been pushed back to Q2 2020.
Conan Chop Chop will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch sometime in Q2 2020.
