Ho, boy! On Twitter, Forza Horizon asked the simplest of questions: “Three cars, one awesome day… What are you driving?” And the answers? Absolute fire to the gunpowder. That, together with the picture of three classy rides parked for ultimate enjoyment, set off a huge thread of gamers that unleashed their dream cars. From muscle cars to hypercars, the answers are an electric-buzz bunch of nostalgia, velocity, and lust for cars.
Kick it up a notch with Adam Carrington describing some of the cars seeing which he wishes were to appear in FH5 from Forza Horizon 4: ’69 Aston Martin DBS, ’74 AMC Hornet X Hatchback (an odd but intriguing choice), and ’77 Lotus Esprit S1. A man of discernment. Next are Lenny’s French hot hatch vibes: Clio 3 RS, Ford Focus ST 2022, and Megane 3 RS.
However, Octopat1258 went for the big guns: McLaren P1, Shelby Daytona, and Dale Earnhardt’s #3 Monte Carlo. It basically syncretizes hypercar, classic racer, and NASCAR royalty. Meanwhile, JoshuaE51396105, aka GenX-Relic, laid out the GT40 (the original ’60s one, not the new one), the Zonda R (because who wouldn’t want to hear that V12 scream?), and the Panoz Esperante GTR-1. Deep cut, respect.
Some of them went for the short and sweet. Ohhdatsq just wants the 2013 Dodge Charger SRT Super Bee. Simple, effective, loud. Sameer, meanwhile? Rude. He joked about driving a McLaren SLR in FH5—except oops, it’s not in the game yet. Brutal. Diego Braz went with Italian: Uno Turbo (yes, really), Plymouth Fury, and Ferrari 512 TR. That’s… an interesting trio.
TomiTapio calls track days with the Lotus Elise 1999, Ferrari 599XX, and Caterham 2013. No muscle, no German engineering, pure thrills. And BIBLECAMPVICTIM did ask for some more everyday American cars like the Pontiac Cobalt SS. Fair point. Where’s love for the average heroes?
Some even dropped a couple of pics of their convoy of dreams. TricksterXDLoL and DogJr posted screenshots of their FH5 garages, flaunting their virtual rides just like a car show. Meanwhile, MiB94 Virtual Photography threw down with slick shots of the three “beasts.” Dedication all the way.
One of those that refused to play nice was Sebastian (Iamspcman): “Not your business.” Ouch. The official account even boomeranged with a “Fair enough.” Gotta love the sass.
And Padde is still waiting for the Maserati MC20 to show in-game. “But why?” he asked. Indeed. Forza, if you’re listening.
This thread is a car lover’s treasure trove highlighting how diverse the generations among the community can be: Some want classics, some want speed demons, and some want that one car they’ve been begging for forever.
So what do you take out of this? Forza Horizon players do have opinions on cars. Shocking, isn’t it? But it also brings to mind why the franchise rocks; It ain’t just about racing; It’s about appreciation for cars, memories, and that dream garage everybody wishes they had. So, if you’ll excuse us, we’re calling up FH5 to pretend we have a Zonda R.
