After this recent Summer Shop skin drop, the population has been released, shall we say? With this update, we get four skin options: Oblique Scorpius, Parallel Scorpius, Leilani, and Bay. The community is divided between hype and pure mayhem.
The first stock for the Scorpius duo: Operative and Agent. A little taunt, tactical charm to woo Fortnite players. Think covert ops meets a sci-fi mercenary vibe for that extra edge to throw into the Battle Royale. The Leilani and Bay skins have already become meme fodder.
The reactions? Oh gosh. Unbelievable. One user, @kratosvalhal, really blankly stated: “Ain’t nobody buying this fat skin 😭✌🏻” while @Myraonat had her share of catty conflict with Bay: “ugly asf.” Conversely, @TinasheAlgeria is a Leilani fan, saying: “She’s so pretty 🥲”—validating that, truly, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Nevertheless, the drama did not end there. @Yogiri471 took a radically particular stance on Leilani’s design: “get rid of Leilane’s waist shirt, its blocking my view.” Priorities, right? And @reddedbygum were just too preoccupied mourning the absence of another skin entirely: “WHERES CLYDE 😭😭😭😭😭”
A crackerjack, _”New skins are, terrible,”_ made a statement that many would agree with, while @Mein__Fuehrer even put forward an economic interpretation: “Going 0-4 on new skins is crazy. Was their goal not to make money? If so, mission accomplished.” Ouch.
The skeleton crew of somebody with a different opinion includes @bmsquamtum, who beams, “I’m a fan!!” and @metalMarvin, who breezily chimes in: “4 new Skin, that is new,” which… Yeah, technically.
The DC-themed items indeed stay for Week 2 of the Summer Shop while mixing up even further. If you are here for the tactical Scorpius look or just the Leilani mess, there shall be more than enough to keep you entertained.
So, will you be getting any of these? Or you endorse the crowd that’s on saving their V-Bucks for a matter yet to be announced? Either way, it keeps the unpredictability of Epic Games‘ skin game—love them or hate ’em, they got people talking. At least, @Based_Fortnite said, “at least I get to keep my vbux 🫠”
One thing is for sure: Epic knows how to keep the store interesting, despite half of the reactions amounting to slander. It’s back to grinding from now on; well, or roasting, depending on your mood.
