Hold on, Star Wars fanatics and Fortnite addicts; this spicy piece of news is dropped casually by Epic Games. The DL-44 blaster of Han Solo fame is getting unleashed in the Ballistic mode of Fortnite TOMORROW. There is no time to drag this news and tease it away; in simple terms-unleashed chaos with just a fling of the blaster.
In countryside style, yet kind of dreamy and somewhat cryptic, Fortnite official literally tweeted: “Who’s shooting first? The DL-44 is coming to Ballistic for those with galactic taste. Tomorrow.” And, as if the force spoke, the net exploded. Because really: when does it not?
So while we explain: the DL-44 is not any regular blaster. It is the blaster. The one used by Han to shoot Greedo-first-or to be shot first as per your owning or not-owning that Salt version of Star Wars. So yeah, it’s pretty huge. And Ballistic mode-is basically one insane, gun-heavy playground-will surely be more insane with this baby.
And now come the best ones-the reactions. For real, the reactions! Some are super excited, others salty, and still others are confused. Like one user (@TIMDOG2000) who keyed in, “Roger Roger?” And honestly, that’s the mood. Then others (@ColbySteffens) have already moved on to asking for every other Star Wars blaster, because why would you stop at just one, right?
The Capcom guys (@fortnitexcapcom) began questioning, “Cool, but when’s Street Fighter coming back?” And honestly? Fair. In the grand collab universe of Fortnite, every single one has a crossover he’d love to see get realized.
