Oh, Fortnite Luxury, put it on hold! The XP Shop might be opening for a proud three weeks stay. That means Epic Games has kept in a cryptic tweet by the leaker @unrealhybrid about the restoration of the feature into the game-a feature essentially unknown to the community.
So what is about it? For those who missed the first iteration, this shop allows a player to spend their XP-earned loot on barricaded cosmetics, emotes, and other goodies normally not seen in the regular Item Shop. And what is aggravating about this is that no one knows what it will hold this time! Maybe old BattlePass skins? Rare emotes? Possibly even Star Wars-themed goodies, given the current season? It is pure chaos-the replies to the original tweet oscillate between hype, skepticism, and outright begging for lightsaber pickaxes.
Speaking of lightsabers, that is pretty much the hot debate in the comments. Some, like @DaItonYT, are certain XP Shop will give the glowy weapons the finish they have been waiting for as harvest tools. While others, like @spectrum7198761, concede Disney would never allow it since lightsabers are already mythic weapons in the game. Then, the curveball arrived: what if it is just Jar Jar Binks cosmetics? Yeah, somebody really said that, and at this point, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised anymore.
A few others want to cash in on older Battle Pass exclusives, like Ikonik or FNCS rewards. @LeandroG80207 pleaded, in Portuguese, translated as “Please let it be lightsaber pickaxes 🙏😖,” showing that Fortnite targeting is definitely worldwide.
Here’s a reality check: nothing is officially confirmed by Epic as yet. Whether the XP Shop actually returns remains a very good question-taken seriously, seeing as @unrealhybrid putting it forward. And assuming it brings itself out, then we’re going for three full weeks straight of XP grinding for whatever goodies Epic has in store.
So, what do you say? Keep an eye on the Item Shop, because if this leak turns out to be true, things will start getting really interesting. Be it lightsabers, or old Battle Pass skins, or (heaven forbid) Jar Jar Binks; one thing is sure—Fortnite players are about to log in in multiples to see what they can claim.
And if it doesn’t: yeah, that big Mandalorian skin drops on the 22nd, which is something to look forward to. This is the best time to be a Fortnite fan, wether or not it is. Ready to grind some XP?
