Fortnite players, prepare to lose a few bucks in the coming days, as the Item Shop is crazy with activity! The INCREDIBLE leak courtesy of the incredible leaker HYPEX has revealed the next three Fortnite shops to be featured: a little bit of old field favorites and a heavy load of new drops that will have gamers scrambling to grab their cash-V-Bucks.
Deadpool first returns with much of a bang TONIGHT with the release of the Boundless set. But even if one Deadpool was too much for you, Epic decided to double down by also dropping Deadpool (Cuddle & Raven) TOMORROW with the Double Agent skin. But wait—there’s more. From the following day until the 6th of July, the shop will feature ICON Emotes followed by the return of the Green Goblin skin after an unprecedented absence of 430 days.
The community response? Well, they have been… mixed. While some are excited about it—Gianni_yt spoke, “If Deadpool is here, the shop is not ass! (Yeah Deadpool is the G.O.A.T”)—the opposite voices are considerably harsh-GirthScorched comments, “These cartoony skins are shitters.” Ouch!
But all the real drama is coming from what isn’t coming. Skins that players want still include updated Ash Williams but are missing, according to monomates; Resident Evil collabs, according to donteatmetfup, who is begging for it; and Across the Spider-Verse skins, about which Noahmattingly1 is running out of patience. Not to say the initial Deadpool purists, from whom AstolfoRider7 is one, are bitterly upset about this drop not featuring the original version.
The ongoing discussions regarding Marvel’s domination in the Item Shop aren’t really helping, either. 2kunknownuser went in: “This is what happens when Epic’s greedy ass just commits to collabs… we get bullshit botter number 648 here as a new skin and Marvel in the item shop for 30 days of every single month.” That was harsh but almost true-Marvel skins almost do a permanent fixture.
Meanwhile, others are vibing. SnugTheDoggo joked, “Huge news for the unemployed,” Bryan, meanwhile, commented, “Definitely gonna get Green Goblin but will skip the Deadpool coz it’s nah for me.” Fair.
So what’s the verdict? If you were holding your breath for either Deadpool or Green Goblin, then this is your moment. The others quarreling on the other side (cough Resident Evil cough) will have to keep on waiting. In one way or another, Fortnite’s Item Shop is going to become painfully busy, and that means your V-Bucks wallet is about to take a hit.
And hey, at least it’s not another month of the same Marvel rotation… oh wait. Never mind.
